Design and Performance Study of Next Generation OOFDM  D.K.Tripathi, Pallavi Singh, N.K.Shukla and H.K.Dixit  J.K.Institute of Applied Physics &Technology (UNIV. OF ALLAHABAD) INDIA   ABSTRACT  OFDM technology is being promoted as one of significant ingredient in the development of the 4G communication technology that will be commercialized in forthcoming decade. This paper presents proposed topology to perform performance study of optical OFDM system with different modulations. Simulated results report that performance of optical OFDM transmission is dependent upon a number parameters selected as baud rate of transmission, cyclic prefix , QAM size and FFT size is selected by analyzing the transmission channel by the use of OFDM training symbols. Further OOFDM transmission performance under AWGN channel the MSK scheme and under Rayleigh channel environment BPSK scheme employing OOFDM has depicted good optical transmission performance. It has bee...

DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE STUDY OF TRIPLE-BAND DWDM (160 CHANNEL)  Devendra Kr.Tripathi*, Pallavi Singh, N.K.Shukla, H.K.Dixit  J.K.Institute of Applied Physics & Technology-Allahabad (Dept. Of Electronics &Communication) University of Allahabad, India  ABSTRACT  This article explores performance study of the proposed high data rate triple band novel one hundred sixty channel dense wavelength division multiplexed (DWDM) optical communication link. The model has been designed to operate over multiband S/C/L and channel to channel spacing of 100 GHz bit rate of 20 Gb/s with employed semiconductor optical amplifier, transmission performance were investigated over three hundred kilometres of transmission length. The simulated results showed very good transmission performance for the randomly received channels with Q-factor greater than 10dB, good eye pattern over the entire S/C/L bands along with 6dBm booster power. From the results it is inferred ...

PRODESIGN OF HIGH PERFORMANCE NOC ROUTER

PRODESIGN OF HIGH PERFORMANCE NOC ROUTER  Mitun S.  PG Scholar, Electronics & Communication Dept. Hindusthan Institute of Technology, Coimbatore.   ABSTRACT  This is a high performance NoC Router that handles precise localizations of the faulty parts of the NoC. The proposed router is based on new error detection mechanisms suitable for dynamic NoCs, where the position of processor elements or faulty blocks varies during runtime. Indeed, I propose an online Error detection mechanism using CRC Algorithm. Proposed mechanism is able to discriminate permanent and transient errors and localize precisely the position of the faulty blocks in the NoC routers, while preserving the throughput, the network load, and the data packet latency.  KEYWORDS  Network on Chip, Loop Back Module, Error Detection Code, CRC Algorithm.   Original Source URL :   http://airccse.com/ijaceee/papers/2114ijaceee03.pdf http://airccse.co...

A COGNITIVE ENERGY DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

Image
A COGNITIVE ENERGY DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM  Sanukrishnan S.B.  PG Scholar, Electronics & Communication Dept. Hindusthan Institute of Technology, Coimbatore   ABSTRACT   This is a complete automated solution for the existing energy distribution and monitoring system in India, which can monitor the meter readings continuously and take necessary actions to maintain the power grid stable. A Power Line Communication (PLC) based modem is integrated with each electronic energy meter. Through PLC the meters communicate with the coordinator. Coordinator makes use of GPRS modem to upload/download data to/from internet. A personal computer with an internet connection at the other end, which contains the database acts as the billing point. Live meter reading sent back to this billing point periodically and these details are updated in a central database. An interactive, user friendly graphical interface is present at user end. All the energy logs, notices from t...

PHYSICAL DESIGN AND MODELING OF 24V/48V DC-DC BOOST CONVERTER FOR SOLAR PV APPLICATION BY USING SIMSCAPE LIBRARY IN MAT LAB  Nikhil Kumar1 Suresh Gawre2 Deepak Verma3 and Tushar Kumar4  1, 2, 3, 4 Department of Electrical Engineering, MANIT, Bhopal, India  ABSTRACT   As per the current scenario there is lot of power shortages in all over the world. Renewable energy sources are the promising energy source among the existing resources of energy out of which solar PV is most popular due to its significant advantages over other type of renewable energy resources. Controlling the output of solar PV system is a key aspect. The main theme of this paper is to present physical modelling and simulation of solar PV system and DC-DC boost converter in SIMSCAPE library of MATLAB .the advantage of using SIMSCAPE library is that it models the system physically and the results obtained from it will be considering all the physical effect. in this paper the output ...

AUTOMATIC CLASSIFICATION OF INSECTS USING COLOR-BASED AND SHAPE-BASED DESCRIPTORS  Siti N. A. Hassan, Nadiah S. A. Rahman, Zaw Zaw Htikeand Shoon Lei Win   Faculty of Engineering, IIUM, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia  ABSTRACT  Entomology has been deeply rooted in various cultures since prehistoric times for the purpose of agriculture. Nowadays, many scientists are interested in the field of biodiversity in order to maintain the diversity of species within our ecosystem. Out of 1.3 million known species on this earth, insects account for more than two thirds of these known species. Since 400 million years ago, there have been various kinds of interactions between humans and insects. There have been several attempts to create a method to perform insect identification accurately. Great knowledge and experience on entomology are required for accurate insect identification. Automation of insect identification is required because there is a shortage of skil...

A NOVEL TECHNIQUE FOR CONTROLLER TUNING  Mohammad Amin Rashidifar1 and Abdolah abertavi2  1Department of Mechanical Engineering, Islamic Azad University, SHADEGAN Branch, Iran 2 Department of Electrical Engineering, Islamic Azad University, SHADEGAN Branch, Iran   Abstract  Neural networks and genetic algorithms have been in the past successfully applied, separately, to controller tuning problems. In this paper we purpose to combine its joint use, by exploiting the nonlinear mapping capabilities of neural networks to model objective functions, and use them to supply their values to a genetic algorithm which performs on-line minimization. Simulation results show that this is a valid approach, offering desired properties for on-line use such as a dramatic reduction in computation time and avoiding the need of perturbing the closed-loop operation.  Keywords  Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms, PID Autotuning Original Source URL...

MINIMIZATION OF THD IN CASCADE MULTILEVEL INVERTER USING WEIGHT IMPROVED PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHM  Priyal Mandil1 and Dr. Anuprita Mishra2  1 PG Scholar, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, TIT, RGPV University, Bhopal, India 2 Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, TIT, RGPV University, Bhopal, India  ABSTRACT  Using multilevel inverter in numerous applications is commonplace. Inverters supplied from equal dc source are almost rare. Although variation in dc source affects inverter switching characteristics. Solving a nonlinear transcendental equation set describing harmonic elimination with non-equal dc sources reaches the limitation of contemporary computer algebra software tools as marked in literatures. This paper presents an optimal solution for harmonic reduction namely weight improved particle swarm optimization (WIPSO ), where a set of mathematical equation describing the general outp...
